hd pvr clone no dvi output to TV

A friend of mine bought a DM800HD i assume its a clone, he was getting freezing issue's on espn hd which lead him to buy another tuner. This one sold here,

I fitted the tuner for him and booted the box up and there was no dvi output or scart for that mater, so i put his old one back in and to my surprise still no tv output. The LCD on the box was ok and booted up and the channel was displayed(on the dm800 lcd).

I can ftp to the box and discovered the bootloader to be 72.
I thought the problem might be the image so i installed dream-elite-clone-bl-72-1101loader which I found here.

This did not solve the ouput problem and now on the Box LCD it goes through the booting sequence for a couple of mins then toggles display between DVI, SCART and YPbpr.
Could anybody help me with a fix for this please

Hi , I had the same problem and it turned out that I had not chosen dvi in the time allotted and i all went blank this coupled with the batteries going in the remote did not help so i replaced the batteries and when the lcd screen on dreambox showed dvi I pressed okay and all was well.

The ebay listing is for a FAKE rev M tuner sown in picture REV M should have label BSBE2-801A not 401A

Try scart socket as the new image is cycling through the different types of out check if scart is ok?

Think only people to fix are the chinese, other option is to replace the mainboard, are you sure you have checked everything? does it work fine through scart?

No it doesn't work through scart neither

can you not put the original image back on , then when configuring it , you can view the oled screen on the box to cycle thru options , enabling you to get the output you require,

edit , please try and put an image on containg bl76d , images can be found from this link , dont worry you got 72 , sim2.01 is the important part , and 76d images will overwrite previous bl`s ,

then view the led screen for output selection (if you dont see it on tv that is)

the tuner file (bcm7401.ko)may be be your issue here so 76d will update it
