Guys

is this the best image out for the dm800 bl76 sim2.1 clone?

iv been using the nabilo darkstar image for the last year, but the recording functions arn't very good, so i need a change really.

any positives or negatives for this image?

Ive been using gp 5.1 for about 2 months now, recording functions are spot on mate, I wont say its the best image as Im sure I will come under fire pretty quick from others, but I personally think its a good image.
Hope this helps mate.

O and forgot to mention the only negative side of the image for me (which im not to bothered about) is that when the motor is moving for some reason you dont get the icon of the dish come up, you get message "tune failed" but really the motor is moving and as soon as it gets to its position picture comes back and message goes off.

I use cross epg, 8 day epg on 28.2 and its brilliant mate.
I set it up using one of the posts on here.

where in the images directory do i install the latest cam of my choice?

using DCC of ocurse.

once the cam is FTP'd across can u use the dm800 to install it directly via the coloured buttons?

All you need to do is go to file manager, then locate the file and you will see install at bottom of screen, just press install and bingo !!

Tried that a while back and although it looks nice, from what i can see there is no EPG designed for that image.

question: i am interested in having a decent epg for 28.2e a few days if possible..does this one only work if you have a hard drive installed!?

and is there any other options without hard drive?
