Dm800 clones

Is there differents kind of dm800 clones, or are they the same?
i have one with a fan inside and one without, but they are both clones i think.

most clones from 2010 to date are sim 2.01
but some maybe sim ferrari , which seem to ship in units with no fan ,
thats not to say your fanless box is ferrari , as it could be sim 2.01 with fan removed by previous user/supplier.

Its important you establish which versions you have , if you intend to flash a newer image , as images are not cross compatable from 2.01 to ferrari , check your boxes for stickers , "sim 2.01 inside" or check on lcd as box boots up , may say "visit sim2 team" or similar , in which case its 2.01

I have tried many img on these boxes but it seems to crash or i get this error when turning on.
i will now try NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06_s69.nfi and hope this works

it must say something.. you need to say what your box specs are if you want it decoding.. no good saying what it specs it isn't..

Now i tried NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06_s69.nfi but the remote control doesnt work
and i tried the same img that was modifyed and that workt but didnt have thor and sirius, only astra and hotbird.
Is there some place you can insert these satelites?

sim1 before 2.01 , that is pre oct 2009 tho , your box really that old ?

I think so mate, ive had it for ages, has bootloader #72 aswell, rev j mainboard and rev j tuner. Thinking about fitting a rev m tuner but do I have to update the sim?

afaik , bl72 dates to about oct2009 , so it could be either ,my best advice would be to contact somebody like ukdreamshop , and tell him your scenario (not sure of sim along with rev board details) and will his rev m tuners be compatable with both , if not will he accept returns,

to establish your sim version remove cover from dreambox , and just behind lcd is sim holder ,

you can check with telnet , but cant remember exact commands

power on your dream with holding the button
the word stop appear and then the ip of dream
telnet the ip
you will find the information appear on the telnet windows
