Problem with dm800 tuner clone

Hi
i have a revision L3 tuner on top of a revision J board. My problem is that I cant seem to scan any dvb-s2 channels on my dm800 on either 13?e or 9?e. I am getting all dvb-s channels including hd one's without a problem. I am using gemini 5.00 with cccam 2.2.1. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks

try reflashing the image mate it does work sometimes starting afresh have u gone to a hd channel and set tuner to dvb -s2?

I did mate...tried 3 diff gemini images...all of them give me 0 channels whn I scan on s2. The snr also drops to 0 whn I change from dvb-s to s2. I reckon my tuner's dead. Will replacing the tuner with a m tuner help? I have read l3 tuners usually mess abt is that correct?

i had this issue with an earlier rev k tuner (although wouldnt pick up any dvbs2 signals/HD channels at all) , solved by soldering a capacitor to it ,

I thought I could apply the fix, but the rev k and j tuners are very different from the rev l3 tuner....should I replace the main capacitor on the underside of the tuner? Its a 1000uf 10v capacitor.

wouldnt like to say mate , its your call , but then if its ~~~~~ed anyway you may as well try ,
any sign of any leakage from any caps on tuner ? if so , replace

@southpaw: no leakage jst a alot of glue on the main cap. Cant I jst buy a new tuner and replace mine altogether. Rev m is for usd 65 delivered.

safest place to get the latest tuner is here in link below, you have to be very careful as some are selling 401a rev M witch is no good.. also earlier rev m models don't work on rev J mainboards, so for the same price you can get one next day if you in the uk

yes mate , you can go with a new tuner , are you sure that "glue" isnt a leaky cap ?

@ southpaw: mate I am not sure whether the yellow stuff is glue or a cap leak. I can jst as well replace the cap once I get a new tuner, for experimentattion purposes.

@ bubbles69: I actually live in pakistan...and ukdreamshop dont do international deliveries...my best bet is yaoxin (tony) in china. should I order the rev M card that u have mentioned?...as I had no clue that not all rev m tuners would work on a revision J board.

tony should sort you out mate , just insist on the latest revm tuner (from dm800pro box)
