Won't turn on but network lights are green/orange

    Hey,

    So, my luck is bad.

I purchased a DM800HD PVR a few days ago, received help from reddevil to put an image on it etc - It was working well last night. When I turned the box on today - It was working well, but suddenly the channel video wasn't loading and the sat image was blinking (retrieving signal?) - Turned it off via web interface and now it won't turn on.

I hate my luck First DM500S image kept blinking and now this

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    - Anyone who wishes to help turn my light bulb on please do post.

My clone DM800 used to sometimes take forever to turn back on after it had been turned off.

Many times I was convinced it was ~~~~ed, but I just kept trying and it would eventually burst into life. the secret is not to turn the ~~~~ers off.

I've not given up yet, will be trying to turn the box on. I hope it works.

      EDIT: It's working now, thanks witchy (thank'd + rep'd).

PS. I wonder what caused it in the first place?

      Thanks

Thought I'd post in this thread rather than making a new one. My box won't turn on again and I've kept it off for 10 minutes now and it won't turn on. Any tips please?

pull power lead from behind box and re insert it quick, try a few times and should come back to life, if you wanna restart it do it via the menu.

I'll try that now, thank you. Problem is, it doesn't show anything on screen either, nor on the display.

Are there any lights on the back like the ethernet?
Have you tried to see if the box connects with dreamup?

if you are going to turn your box of use the menu button on the remote and then go into the shutdown menu and then do an orderly shutdown as you would on any operating system, i do this every night and my box resstarts no problem.
