    dreamelite?

    Hey,

I have a DM800HD and currently have enigma2 and gemini installed on it. My box has a bootloader 76.

I'm not sure which image is better, the current one or dreamelite v133dv pheonix edition? Any suggestions?

Also, when I try going into the web interface (the IP dm800hd shows - it shows the dreambox web control) - It doesn't have any option to upload the image

You need to put it into flash mode to show firmware update option , remove power cable , re apply power cable whilst holding the on switch on , keep pressed until display says HTTP mode and gives I.p address , back to web browser and update firmware ,
Depends what you mean by better image , probably pheonix is more user friendly , but Gemini got more features , it's a personal preferance thing , try both , see what suits you best

Odd. Still shows dreambox web interface (where I can change channels etc). No option to upload new firmware.

Take the power lead out of your dm800 for about 30 seconds make sures its off now put it back in WHILST holding the front power button which is on the side of the OLED display.

Now when the display shows DHCP stop or some words similar to this let go off the front power button. In a few seconds it will show you an ip address.

Over to your pc open up your desired browser and enter in the ip address as shown on dm800 oled display in the address bar.

        Then follow instuctions on screen

Turn all power off to box , remove power plug from back off box , put power plug back in whilst keeping finger on the on switch (by the little LCD display ) keep it pressed until display says stop http mode
Beaten to it by above poster , must type faster on mobile

Dreamelite blackhole and Nabiosats blackhole both great images for the Dreambox 800 just make sure you get the right one for your box,ie,bootloader sim etc
Put the wrong one o0n and you will get No CA FOUND

I've installed it and it's really good. Thanks

Also, I turned on web authentication and I don't know what the web-interface username and password is, would anyone know what it is? The default info.

Put on a decent set of bouquets like Sgtflipflops off here and install Pauli Neutrino keypad it will make it loads easier when using your handset.
