gemini image discussion

Hello all, i have just bought a DM800HD pro from Tony at Yaoxin, should be arriving in the next couple of days. His website says they ship with gemini 5.1 image, and i was just wondering if this is a good image worth being left on there, or if there is a better image that i should reflash with. Also just wondering what different images provide that others dont, hence there being a debate as to which is better. Thanks a lot, s23pho

Hi mate

yeh i got a few boxes from tony, all wroking fine so far, but..the gemini image is giving me nightmares on recording programmes, so iv just given up!

i will try the dreamelite hd image sometime soon, most people do recommend it.

this is just my opinion, i hope no one kills me over it!

Iam haveing probs with internal hdd recording.
Other than that is great.

I did have trouble selecting 28.2 but its sorted

Good to hear that tony's boxes seem good!! I think I'm going to use the dream elite image, although I'm finding it hard to find the right one
( sim 2.01 and b76). Is this the best image?? Does it have full EPG? thanks

a really good image i found last week was domica7.1 , dead easy to use , and looks nice , not seen it for sim2.01 yet , so i may upload the original along with 76d patch

Sorry mate not to sound ignorant, I'm new to dreamboxes, but what is the difference between BL76 and BL76a/b/c/d etc?? thanks???

Just patches from sim 2 team , allowing later boot loader to be used
D being the latest , try to look for 76 d images, as these have the latest drivers from dream , and should be more stable
