Best image for Dreambox 800HD Ferarri sim

I have ordered a clone Dreambox 800HD clone Ferarri sim from Primusat. I just want to know what you guys think the best image will be.

I will be using it for UK sat, I will be wanting a EPG and I want to be able to record/ pause/ rewind on to a internal hard drive I have also bought for it. I will also be viewing HD channels.

liked the idea of being able to flash original images and also the sim can be upgraded in the box without having to buy a new sim.

any suggestions on image bud?

I currently use Nemesis 2.2 SVN 073 Ferrari version,top rock solid stable image & has all the bells & whistles .
Other images to consider & that I have personally tested are Russian Domica 7.1,simple straight forward ease of use for novice,another good image is NewDE 1.0 FINAL
Currently 2nd stage bootloader for Ferrari SIM is SSL78F this may be updated to newer 082 in future.

what about the nabilo black hole 012 image? seen that been mentioned a few times on here.

How do you know what bootloader to install or are you fine just installing the latest?

The Ferrari pre bootloader adapted images can be found on home of Ferrari @ 8a8f8.com (where you will notice popular images that people prefer to use ,i.e most downloads & end user comments,reliabilty & stabilty).
If you intend to use any original image then you need DreamUp 1.3.3.4 to load 2nd stage (SSL78F)after you have flashed image to be able to allow your box to work,but most images are ready made for Ferrari SIM,requiring single flash of image.
Remember each image is end users preffered choice,you may hear one particular image mentioned more by end users then it may be suitable for their needs & not neccesary meet your expectations.
New images come out on regular basis with more better skins,epg,cron,omnikey,smargo,picon,DTT,etc support

Try domica7.1 mate , really simple to use , just need to get it off Russian Lang in blue button menu , quite simple , got it on my Ferrari box here and really easy to use with cams available from download menu , and no cartoon character s on boot up , just simple landscape pic

I still love my 500s its done me proud but its time to go HD the 500 can go in the bedroom

I think it sounds impressive that's why I went with it.

to be honest mate , there aint much between the 2 main players , both their forums seem to have up-to-date images and quite decent support , just make sure you stick with ferrari compatable images .

i got one of each box, last night i flashed a sim2 image to ferrari box , just about to hit reboot and realised , wacked a ferrari image over top before booting and fortunately it flashed without issue. Quite lucky as i didnt fancy pissing-about with dream-up for an hour.

Much easier and quicker to flash via webif than piss about with Dreamup

yep dead right mate, but had i booted it with the sim2 image , i would have had to use dreamup to recover from "no ca error"

hi garry, i thought the black hole image was good too, and had good epg support. its a case of trying a few out i guess though and see what you prefer

I run dream elite on a ferrari sim and its been fine. Its set up for idiot users like me so you should be able to set up you HDD and EPG easily.
