Problems with remote control

Hi, I have a clone dreambox 800 which has been working well, but the remote has suddenly stopped working. I can change channels using the laptop and network, but the dm800 will not respond to the remote. I have tried a new display on the 800 as that contains the receiver, and have checked the remote by looking at the sender through a phone camera, and it seems to transmit. I also have a dm500, and have tried each of the remotes on each box, but neither box responds to the other remote, so can only assume they are not compatable. I was thinking of buying another remote just in case it is still faulty, but thought I'd run it by you guys first.

this may seem like a daft suggestion , but.....

it is switched to dream and not tv on remote ?
make sure the big dream button lights when pressing a key on remote

wouldnt worry bout it mate i have done the same when my little one was playing with remote.but luckily realised a couple mins after ha ha ha
