    Bulsat

    Hi everyone

Am I getting something wrong here or missing something obvious? I keep seeing mention of Bulsat in the forums and the softcams for it.

I swung my dish round today to Hellassat to have a look but most of the channels on it are NDS encrypted. I'm seeing very little in the clear with the latest softcam loaded on my TM5200, so why is everyone so interested it 39E?

    Thanks

    Harry

39 east has got football (3pm) films, documentrys, wild life, music, and all thats on your main satellites, theres about 40 channels that are watchable (all hd are gone) but still worth tuning in most of the channels are on blar 30000,check lyngsat for frequencys, put latest patch in first then latset softcam for your sat ,hope this helps

      Hi badboy1965

      Thanks for your reply.

I did think football might be on there somewhere

I have already patched my receiver (134p which I think is the latest), put on the latest softcam and scanned the Bulsat TP frequencies as listed on Lyngsat, but most of the channels which come up are encrypted with NDS, and I can't see them.

I'm assuming that "blar 30000" is FEC 30000, which I'd set before scanning the TPs.

      Getting quite confused now....

are you sure you have latest patch for super or non super?
        non super
        or the super
click blue links they support bullsat .and then try this softcam

has the latest bullsat keys too
134 is not the latest patch

hi hrule, none of the nds channels open and none of the unknown open but the rest do,like i said theres only about 40 watchable channels and the ones with the fec 30000 are the ones that are open except the hd ones. check these,12.647 h 30000- 12524 h 30000- 12688 h 30000- 12565 h 30000

            Thanks a lot Thijs

134 was the latest patch I was able to find, but I've now installed 147 and also the softcam too. Not seeing much difference to be honest - the only channels I'm able to see seem to be the Greek channels - all the others seem to be scrambled with NDS except Ant1, which is clear.

I'm getting nothing at all on the TPs you mention which is odd. I've swapped my lnb over with a spare and am still not getting anything on them despite scanning and rescanning. Will try again later.

go into main menu and then options and make sure that serial mode is off or auto update is off,i don't have your tm but most tm's are similar check in system info that your patch is on you should have cas menu and biss menu options in there.
then turn off your tm at the back for about a minute and then try again it might take about a minute the first time for the patch to kick in.
the bulgarian writing is pretty much the same as greek writing

Yea the patch is on as the cas and biss menus are both showing in the system information and the patch is showing as 1.47p (Jan 12 2011).

Definitely Greek channels, eg 902, 4E, Ant1 (which is clear), Tele Asty, ERT World etc. Nothing that looks or sounds Bulgarian I'm afraid.

                      Hi Carew6

                      Thanks for your post.

All LNB settings are ok and exactly as on your list. I thought perhaps it might be an LNB problem earlier, so I swapped the Inverto Black Ultra which I had been using for a Smart Titanium TSX and actually got more channels - the Inverto seemed to have problems receiving the vertically polarised channels. I then tried a Smart Titanium 2nd Edition TSG which I had lying around and after tweaking the skew and focus went back to the Smart Titanium TSX as it was giving better signal quality.

If using fixed dish, you need to skew the lnb.

Yes, already done for best quality.

are you sorted yet mate?if not check the the following FTA channels "the voice" on 12.524 H 30000 .and "vouli" 11.052 V 30000.both polarities should be roughly equal in strength and good and strong(over 80 quality reading).if these are not ok your setup still needs a bit of work.if they are ok you should pick up bulsat easily if correct patch and latest softcam are installed.eurosport opening on 12.688 H 30000 will confirm its working.

                              Hi dick b

I can see "vouli" fine in both H and V, but after scanning 12524 and 12688 several times I'm getting nothing on either TP and don't have Eurosport in my channels. How many channels should there be approximately? I suspect I'm missing many of them as I've only got a total of 38 for some reason.

There are a couple of Bulsat dishes in the area and they're smaller than the one I'm using (Triax TD88), so the dish is obviously big enough, and I have a fairly clear line of sight too - there is a sparse tree near which I don't think is affecting things, but I'll probably go and move the dish later.

As the receiver I'm using is only a week old I did think perhaps it might be it (TM5200 D Super+) causing the problem, so I swapped it for my older TM1500CI + Super and rescanned everything again a few times with the same results.

I'm lucky that I don't have to go up and down ladders as we have a flat roof out the back and the dish is on the wall out there!
