Have you adjusted the LNB skew as suggested by Manic01 earlier ?

Enter the transponder details into Advanced Search and adjust the LNB skew until the Signal Strength / Signal Quality readings are at their maximum. (Skew should be approx. 26-28 degrees for Hellasat depending on your location.)

        Hi there

I've done the skew - spent abput half an hour on it and the best I can get is signal of 96% and quality in the 20% range, but no stations on the transponders mentioned.

        ======

Sorry let me clarify my reply above - the channels I am getting are around 96-98% signal and around 70-72/3% quality - anything over 50% on my receiver is ok. The 96% and 20% quality I mentioned earlier was on the TPs suggested by other posters.

it sounds like you are not getting the horizontal TPs so as manic01 says its sounds like a skew problem if you are on a fixed dish(no skew needed with a motorised set up) Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com will give you all the dish settings for your postcode.but try turning the lnb anti clockwise by 25 degrees when looking from behind the dish as others have suggested.you dont need a big dish for bulsat and should be easily obtained but they are on horizontal TPs "vouli"is only on a vertical TP

              Hi again

I'll try that again later - I took the dish down last night and will hopefully get it hack up this evening in a different place.

                Hi dick b

Yea, have tried 3 different LNBs - 2 Smart Titaniums and an Inverto Black Ultra, and two different receivers. I am getting some horizontal and some verical channels but only 38 or so.

Bad manners to hijack someone elses thread.
                      You need mgcamd 135a modified.

                        Just an update.

I moved the dish so that it had a clear line of sight to the satellite and got 2 more channels, taking the total to 40!

Now perhaps this has been me being stupid all along, but I've been using the "Blind Search" on my Technomate to find channels, as I understood this to be the most comprehensive search on the TM receivers. BUT I did an "Auto Navigation" search about an hour ago and it brought in 211 channels, so I tried it on my older TM1500 and got the same result.

Have I misunderstood the TM searches? Not sure that I have to be honest as feed hunters use the Blind Scan, so I assumed that it would find any and all channels on a satellite.

Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice - much appreciated!

Blind search should of found them, having said that you should only use for feeds as it finds all sorts of crap as well usually filling up your channel list.
If you have been using blind search, you havent been scanning individual tp's as requested then? Or am i misunderstanding something here.

                              blind search

ive always found a blind search gets lots of repeat channels say
12500v it may give you the 12499v and you get all the duplicates you can edit these later but i find going into lyngsat and manually adding the transponders and deleting the dead ones is less hass;e maybe u have other thpoughts on this

the "auto navigation" is for motorised systems(it scans each sat in turn)
as Manic01 has said blindscan should pick up everything including all the rubbish my advice would be to delete all channels on 39E then go to "advanced search" and scan the following TPs one at a time (all 30000 sym rate) 12.524H,12.565H,12.647H & 12.688H this should give you 50+ bulsat channels with latest softcam but they are changing encryption soon I believe.
