    is it worth the bother

looking to get a cheap receiver soon to play with
have read up on updating the firmware and then adding cams and keys

question is do you end up with anything worth watching or is just a case of being able to watch stuff you shoudn't and from reading another thread is it all about to end re cams and keys anyway

yes it looks like there is not going to be much available with keys soon.... you would be better off getting yourself a spiderbox or protek box...... you recieve gift channels with these boxes .....BJ1

I dont think it is a simple as just plugging the dongle into the receiver. I use a TM600 and Openbox S9 at the caravan and had to purchase a 3g router for about ?25 and use the dongle in there connected to the receiver by LAN. This works a treat and uses very little bandwidth.

Yup sounds about right, unless the reciever has integrated drivers which support your 3G dingle it wont work directly connected to the reciever.
Should work fine if the reciever has supported drivers though.
