Technomate TM-6902 how good is it?

    Hi all,

Looking for a little bit of adivce.

I was all set to buy a Vu Duo and then I discovered the TM 6902.

Now I understand the TM 6902 has 2 tuners like the Vu Duo but one of them is a DTT tuner. Now Im quite happy with this as I dont think I would need 2 sat tuners.

But apart from the tuner issue can you gus let men know how good the TM 6902 is compared to the Vu?

Everyone raves about the Vu, but from what I can tell the TM6902 is a fantastic box, and with the latest patch it includes a full 7 day Sly EPG.

So as owners of TM would you trade them in for a VU and if so why, and do you rate the TM6902 just as good as the Vu Duo?

    Thanks for your help

There is no comparison, VU is enigma 2 linux.
Far more powerful and can do far more.

I have the tm6902 great box ,as manic01 says there is no comparing to the Vu duo, i have no experience with it but it suppose to be the best but a bit trickier to set up if you have no experience with the linux stb's.
The tm is easy to set up and very user friendly, the 6902 it's nice to use the divix player and the youtube and the other little extra's.+ of course the 7day-epg is handy to have.
the biggest difference is that you can't use the 6902 as a server.c/n lines client only.
If i get to save up some money again i would buy the vu-duo myself next. But still i'm still very happy with my tm's.
By the way the 7day epg is not full epg it's program name only, with the latest patch you get now and next full info again after loading the 7day epg,as before the latest patch you had to switch off the tm to get now and next full info again.

        Thanks guys for your input.

With all that is said I would love to know what more the VU can do? I reallly cant see what the big wow is on the VU, like I said, it has the 2 Sat Tuners, but the TM has 1 sat and 1 DTT, IF CS goes tits ups at least the TM still will act as a good Freeview HD and Freesat HD box.

The TM has a 7day EPG and so does the VU, both arent as good as SLY .

In relation to a Server, a cheap DM500 will do that for you, so I dont need a VU to do it for me as I have 3 DM500`s.

SoI still cant see why the VU is classed as better, what exactly does it do more off?

        Thanks again!

What more does the VU Do that the TM 6902 cant do?

tm 6902 is good Hd box easy to set up you can input loads of c/n lines but if packages are the same it might get some conflict like same provider on two lines.and you can use a usb
