TM6900hd Super, recording problem

My TM6900hd Super can record; however, recording a channel automatically locks me out from viewing all the other channels with the exception two randomly selected channels? I thought one can record and at the same time watch whatever channels one likes?

Is it the same elsewhere or my system is faulty?

only if they are on the same transponder .

yes on the same transponder or you can watch your dtt channels through your arial(freeview). bbc one hd and bbc hd are on same tranponder so you can record bbc one hd and watch bbc hd at the same time.when you are recording something in your channellist the other channels you can watch will be displayed black and the ones you can't watch grey.if you realy want to record and view any other channel you will have to go for a twin sat tuner like the tm7102-triple that also has a dtt tuner
