Hi guys, this is my first post and i just got my first Technomate box the tm500 super from a supplier that locks the boxes with a password (ftp password). It's been pre flashed with UR image, basically it was a plug and play box. So now i want to go in and edit files etc but i cant because of the password, i cant do the tuxbox trick as i need the password in order to launch tuxbox 
What i would like to know is what i have to do to remove the password? From what i have read it is a case of starting from scratch, so do i need to do a factory reset, then re-flash the UR image and if so can i do this over my network or do i have to use a null cable? I apologise in advance if i sound like an amateur, it's because i am!
I haven't just come on here and asked this without researching, i have spent days looking around various forums and i cant seem to find out if a factory reset removes any passwords.
Hope someone can offer me some advice
