    TM 5200D No Audio/Video message

    Hi

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem, I recently updated my Technomate 5200 D Super USB receiver with the latest patch and softcam keys, I would like to receive some German channels, I have place the settings for ASTRA 1 to 19.2 E it seems to pick up the signal however the following message appears "No Audio/Video". Anyone had any experience of this?
    Cheers

      Hi
DSF, ZDF, RTL would be a few of the channels that i would like to recieve i think they are FTA channels, getting the signal but the message displays "No Video/Audio"

the rtl channels on 12.188H 27500 and zdf on 11.954 H 27500 are all fine.it sounds like your dish is out of alignment when you say you have a signal when you press the blue button on the H/set while on the channel you should get good strong signals in yellow and blue is that what you have and do you get any FTA channels on 19E if so what ones.

          Hi

Yes the blue and yellow lines are available on the channel e.g. ZDF, DSF. Yellow is around 97% and the blue is around 86%. What i have noticed is that on ASTRA 1 I am picking up alot or all of the astra 2 channels e.g. BBC, ITV etc. not sure as to how to resolve the "No Audio/Video" message on the german channels. ASTRA 1 is pointing 19.2 E.

          Cheers

Is this a fixed dish? If so you will have to realign it to 19.2 in order to pick the German channels you mention.

              hi

Its picking up the channel or the signals so im not sure why i am getting the "No Audio/Video" Message, if the dish was pointing in the wrong direction, surely it wouldnt pick up the signal?

              Thanks

Selecting a satellite from a list will not automatically align your dish to that satellite unless you have a motorised system. If you want to view the channels from Astra1 at 19.2 degrees then you will have to move your dish from Astra2 at 28.2 degrees to 19.2 degrees. The two satellites use similar frequencies, which is why you are seeing Astra2 channels such as BBC, ITV when you are selecting frequencies from the Astra1 list.

if you still cant open the file, in your stb go to installation>satellite setup>ok twice.scroll to 19.2E in the drop down and save by yellow button make sure there is a tick against it.then exit and put 12.188H/27500 in the transponder line(RTL TV is on this TP)then you will have to move the dish to the right(looking from behind it and slightly up to find it, the signal bars will go red to start with but should end up looking like the screen shot.(I doubt the transponder number will be 35 though)once it does red button scan.you will have to hunt for it by slow L/R and up/down movements of the dish but 19E will be to the right of 28.2E.it may pay you to delete the channels you have found on that satposition before you start.
