    tm 800hd help please...

    put one of these in for a friend, bought with bouquets on image etc from technomates main stockist.

    problem is connecting to internet, first off can i use DCC as i'm familiar with this, as have a dm500s??

    set up is as follows, one pc, one laptop connected wirelessly, laptop ethernet lead to tm 800 hd.

    problem is on network( as always), on network test, lan ethernet enabled,ip enabled, gateway enabled, nameserver is the problem, comes up unconfirmed, i thought nameserver would be the routers ip address??

    any help much appreciated, and box came with no user manual, just a leaflet quick start guide, so if theres a pdf manual om internet somwhere ( i can't find one or a good tm 800hd tutorial, would be good to be pointed ion right direction or pm, done loads of google but these boxes don't seem to be well supported as the dreambox, any help much appreciated pulling me hair out here, thanks in advance...
    1 metre dish,tm 5400ci super,tm 1500ci super,dreambox500s(currently a harsh learning curve)..

    Your best bet would be to phone TM tech support and ask for assistance.

    Your right the software support is extremely poor...as is the quality of the image, be prepared to find out that lots of users complain of HD lipsynch, PVR functions not working correctly, No timeshift, Internal SATA Hard disc support is very flakey only works with Seagate drives due to chipset/driver issues ...etc etc..

    I would suggest returning this reciever and trying to get a refund ASAP there doesnt appear to be any software fixes coming any time soon ! It's already been 16 months with very little progress...

    Save yourself a lot of hassle and buy a reciever that works properly !
