TM 1000 D remote probs

hi guys
only certain buttons are working on my remote control
Volume up and down ,menu and ok and a couple of others dont work,anybody had similar probs,or am I better just replacing it .

yes ,first thing I thought of funnily enough

Menu-password-change remote type from type 1 to type 2 or other way round depending on what is already selected.

fixed it ,went over all solder joints with a fine tipped iron.

done it twice as it didn't work first time , and of course after I ordered a new one!- typical.
