    TM-6902 Vs TM-7102

    Hiya Folks,

    Hope you're all well.

I had this thread running for the last week http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...74/index3.html

To simplify, I need a box that can do the following:

    1. Record 2 Terrestrial and FTA channels at once such as BBC1, ITV, ITV2, CH5, CH4, E4, E-Entertainment, Food Network, BBC3, CBeebies, Nick Junior, Dave....

    2. The box must have a DVB-S2 and DVB-T or T2 tuner as well as RF Out so I can distribute Freeview around the house

    3. LAN, HDMI ports

To my knowledge, the only boxes suitable are one or two (or even three) of the following:

    TM-5402
    TM-6902
    TM-7102
    TM-8000
    Not sure about other brands

Can you help by letting me know which of the above boxes fit the bill for me?

    Thanks!

    J

the tm 7102 would be your best bet as you would be able to record a channel on 1sat tuner and still watch any other channel at the same time or record any other at the same time but after that you would be limited to whatever transponders you are recording of at that time about the terrestial part i'm not to sure(just tested it you can only record one frequencie at the time on dtt so it depends on how many channels are on one frequencie)
because in ireland you only need one frequencie to get all the soarview(freeview channels) so i can record and watch any other channel at the same time.I would have the 7100 wich would be the same as the 7102 on the 02 series would have a few extra funktions and a sronger freeview and more uptodate tuner + more memory for future firm/patchware
I would also have the 6902 with the extra funktions but it's limited to what you can record.
The tm8000 is very badly supported by tm

So on the 7102, can I do the following all at the same time?

      1. Record BBC1
      2. Record ITV1 HD
      3. Record Disclovery Channel

I guess 2 of them from the DVB-S2 tuners and 1 form the DVB-T tuner ?? Has anyone tried this?

      Thanks
