Yes, latest patch, in AV output settings you can set TV type to PAL, NTSC or Auto.

Is this new? I never looked before.

Chopps , thank you so so much for your reply. Now, I need to ask a couple of questions :

1- How is the picture quality of the SD channels, and is the HD picture sharp?

2- How good is the blind scan?

      Thank you.

        Hi,

I suppose it depends what you compare the picture quality with and the quality of your TV.
In my case, I have a Dreambox 500S and a Sky HD receiver and I would say in terms of picture quality it's superior to both receivers on my Samsung C530. I'm really happy with it in terms of picture quality.

Blind scan is improved with the newer patches, you can select frequency range (obviously) just V or H or both, also TV only or just FTA, and you can select to scan in increments from 1 to 32 MHz. The receiver also auto navigates if you want. Best to leave this running when you're out for the day! In my case it pulls in over 7300 channels from 31 sats, and rarely misses a transponder.

Thank you so much!. So it looks like they changed from the classic blindscan menu, with the addition of the Mhz steps. So now the TM 5402 is 100% identical to the Blade Media. Now I need to decide which one is the best choice for me. I am thinking the blind scan on the TM might be more accurate . I think it's a win win situation if I go either way
