EPG issue on tm 5402hd

Hello,
I am having a problem with the EPG info on my box. When i turn my box on, there is no epg (which is to be expected). When i select a channel it will then show the now and next on that channel along with the programme information. When i go to the epg update channel it will populate 7 days of epg on on the channels which is great, but i lose the programme information. Does anyone else have this issue? Its quite annoying. I am on the latest patch which stated fixes now/next, what did this fix?

Yep. Just the same for us all I believe.

You can have detailed 'now and next', OR 7 day programme title only. Not both.

Not sure what the latest patch fixed regarding now/next though, sorry.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. That is quite surprising, and irritating. EPG was one of my top reasons for getting this box. Hopefully this will be sorted out in the future. On a similar topic is there any way for the epg to be stored on my hard drive connected to the box?

I've read in lots of places that the EPG will be retained during restarts if you use USB storage.

I've never got this to work on my TM-5402 on any software revision. If I power off, or even just go to standby, then the EPG is erased.

Where do I find the epg update channel.. in the epg menu?

for who can use the 7epg on astra 28.2 east channels like the
6000+7000 super series +5402
scan trp. 11.777 v 27.500 any tv channel on this transponder,will load the 7day-epg on your stb ,go into epg mode on one of those channels and within a minute the epg will populate on almost all channels.(leave for a few minutes to get full)make sure you stay in epg mode and you can press info to see progress
