TM5402 HD keeps freezing and turning itself off

I have managed to turn off dhcp setting as I thought my netgear router was causing problems but now im wondering if it might be overheating as it's in a glass cabinet with just the back open.. the fan is switched on though so do u think my problem might be overheating? It mainly plays up on the scrambled channels or when im deleting channels or using it a lot to edit stuff like favourites. I think my ps3 is set to use dhcp still so would that be causing a conflict as i havent set that to manual ip yet.

Just to add, I'm using the latest patch 115 and addon and have tried factory reset.

revert back tp patch 111 there is a lot of problems on the latest patch my 6902 is freezing a lot for no apparent reason too with patch 115 the only thing is that there is a few more french channels open on patch 115 so if you speak french you will loose out on them with the softcam, patch 111 seem to be the most stable patch for c.s. at the moment and you tube is not working on any patch at the moment.
even my 7100 is giving me a lot of problems with the 8/11/11 patch 142. so revert back to an older patch this should sort it.

Do u mean revert back to original 111 firmware on the technomate site? Would that work with a c-line because pressing the ip button on the remote does nothing now.

Well I changed back to patch 111p and then added the add-on then factory reset then added my channel list but now the c-line wont connect.. did i do something wrong? I'm still running my IP settings with DHCP turned off.. should I change back to auto IP?

i would leave it auto if it's running fine on that saves you having to asign an ip adress in the tm all the time

                    So enable DHCP again?

If DHCP is turned off will I have to assign a new ip everytime I turn the box on from standby?

not 100% sure cause i never used it but i've seen people with trouble conflict of ip adress with more connected to their network try it out and let us know for future refference.
you can always change back if there is to much problems

Ok will give it a go with DHCP turned off first and see how it goes.. if I have to keep manually changing the IP will turn DHCP back on and see if its more stable with this older 111p patch.
