Hi. Have you tried pressing the buttons on the front.?? Did it work at all after the upgrade?? I dont think you loaded the wrong patch as usually the TM boxes will tell you if it is the wrong patch for your model. Did the patch load completed fully or did you stop it as it was loading?. Also check batteries in remote are ok as i have seen this happen before , Regards.

      Do a forced download.
How to do a forced download

      ---------------------------------------------

      1) Download latest patch for your model
      2) unzip/unrar patch
      3) Open Darkman loader 187
      4) locate the file you have just downloaded
      5) click connect
      6) switch your reciever off at the back
      7) switch it back on again
      8) loading will start automaticaly

This may have to be done a few times till it actually loads but it will definately load and then all will be ok again.

how are you trying to get it going?you will need to try using manic01s method with an rs232 null modem cable connected between your box and an rs232 com port on your computer

before that you could try and switch off at rear of tm and press and hold menu button while switching back on this might bring you into the loader menu of the tm where you could do a reset and reflash this works on some tm's if this does not work you will have to do forced download like manic01 says

You have to make sure com ports are selected correct, and then keep trying untill it connects.

You can forget USB until *after* firmware is installed.

Get a cheap null-modem cable from eBay. Mine's 5 metres, which works reliably, but I keep phones and chargers away from it when in use.

Once you've got that hooked up, go through the previous replies and you should be sorted. If not, here are a few things to consider...

It could be that the file's corrupt. Try reloading the latest version from Technomate instead.
Try to use the pc and cable to transfer to/from another device to establish that the com port and cable are ok.
If it still won't transfer after say 20 tries, leave it for an hour or so and see if it's done it by then. It worked for someone in another forum.
I can't remember where I read this, but somebody had the following experience: Having given up, he took it into Technomate and they couldn't reload the firmware either. They even tried changing the power supply. He bought a similar model and once home, connected them together. The new model successfully loaded the old one!
If all this fails, you could try kicking the cat, but not a real one, as they retaliate and you won't get much sympathy!
