Technomate 500 need help only FTA works

Hi I have a Technomate 500, THe guy i bought it from said i wont have any problems for a year right now i can only watch FTA channels and its really annoying that they dont get back to me to fix the problem.

I am attempting to solve it myself i would appreciate any help you guys have on this, i have n idea where to start from. I have downloaded DCC and FTP is connected but Telnet is not... so now i am stuck.. HELP!!

no he has a preconfigured tm500
contact the man you bought it from ro try and reboot your router and introduce yourself in the introduce yourself section

I would love Tibet able to get hold of the guy. He has disappeared hence the reason I'm trying to tackle this my self. Any advice or where to go to learn how this is done

try a cccam restart....or learn dcc and check how the cccam config file looks

Find the box ip addy in the network connections.

Switch box off then switch on while holding the little power button on the front, not the big button the small one.

As its starting watch the little screen on front of box and 2 numbers appear....write them down, you need the last number.

Back to PC in the taskbar write the ip add something like
192.111.2.2...well if the last number that appeared on the
box was say a 5 then change the last number to a 5 so you
would write in taskbar 192.168.2.5....

Page opens...half way down is cccam config--click that--put in box name and password-enter-another page opens

In the part that says
Account View Only in /var/etc/CCcam.cfg

There should be a line of letters and numbers beginning with maybe
a C ......copy and paste that onto a text doc

Click disable then come out of those setting saving as you go...

Reboot box.......then switch off and on holding that button watching
for the numbers.....

Get back to cccam edit and paste that item you cut and pasted into the box...add line...click add line...come out

Try rebooting see if it works.....find out where the cccam is
Press the blue button--enter password--box opens -should
tell u the cam and u can restart it there....

Okay well I managed to get hold of the guy and he updated the keys for the box to work and now I really want to know how it is done...someone advise me pls

a little off the point, but can anyone tell me if a tm500super would come from any factory(don't know if it's a clone) loaded with ur-sr image and cccam 214. i think i bought a return as i can't access the box with dcc or dmedit, and can't change pw with remote in tuxbox, this is my first tm so i'm not familliar

That is a traders receiver, locked into cardshare.
Return it.
