there is something wrong somewhere alright mate as 12.524V and 12.688V are both"Dolce" TPs with NDS encryption.
do you get the FTA channel "the voice"on 12.524 H 30000?

i agree its very unusual, i have the channels on 12523 h so i tried 12524 h and they all come down as videoguard on the spiderbox, if you are baffled so am i

Thats if skew is correct Simple as that.
Make sure you are not reading the v for voltage instead of v for vertical in the menu as it will say
18v meaning 18volts for Horizontal polarity.

well when i first tried to get 39e what i done was twist the lnb anticlockwise but further than the 25 degrees that you mentioned, somewhere about 30 degrees, up came the signal and it turned out to be real good one at around 90% on the spider, as i mentioned i got the picture on 2 different boxes except the 5400 but it was on vertical which i got them on, baffling yes but that was the case, so it was vertical i was sucked into, i believed that was the one, never looking to see it should have been on the horizontal searching out flysat or lyngsat etc!, even last night in the back garden i had a montor to help get the signal up and i still tweaked the lnb to about 30 degrees by accident and got them in on vertical, but after a couple of minutes of moving the lnb to about 15 to 20 degrees i got them in on the horizontal, as i speak now i have checked 12688 v and also 12524 v they are videoguard, but the first time what had happened was everything was upside down with the vertical being irdetto and horizontal being videoguard, strange , unusual, hard to explain etc!, what would confirm to what i am talking about is somebody try it, because i bet somebody has done the same thing

Absolute impossibily of tuning a vertical polarity on a horizontal polarity.

I suspect the LNB was so far out in its skew that the vertical spike was in the position the horizontal one should have been in as in my post#11.
Is everything normal now?

Yes way too much skew will change polarity.

yeah I"ve just done a couple of tests on a spare dish and if you put the LNB in 90 degrees out thats the result. to get a given channel on a given frequency you have to change the polarity and re-scan.but the f-plug connector should have been a give away as it must have been pointing nearly skywards,if you now have the lnb in its correct position all your boxes will need their transponder polarities sorting out and then the correct values scanning in.

I would say you are dead right on that one, thats what will have happened, i was too far out with the twist of the lnb, i deleted all the channels and just brought back the important ones and everything all right now. thanks for your input, the 25 degrees remark made me go out and change the lnb with a lesser twist of the lnb.
