Can't get the british fta channels

I have a technomate 5200 d super. I've been trying to get the the bbc, itv channels etc.

I believe I have a good connection to the astra satellites (including 28.2e) because I can get hundreds of other channels without difficulty but I can't get the channels I actually want.

I read the transponder frequency should be 10.773 but it doesn't pick anything up on this particular frequency.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

is your dish motorised or fixed if it's fixed you will have to align it to astra 28.2 to get the fta channels you can only get signal from one sat at the time unless you have a multi lnb bracket

loads of new movement in red, theres going to be fun this weekend .

      Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2B / Astra 2D / Eurobird 1 (28.2E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat
looks like a new scan is needed.

It's fixed and I'm not sure what a multi lnb bracket is (if not motorised).
I have 4 lnb lines from the dish if that's what you mean but only using one.

I have already scanned astra 28.2 and have lots of channels.
Just not the ones i want from it.

Are you telling me to get rid of astra 19?

I can't seem to delete that satellite from the search.

scanning on wrong sat will give you different channels, does it not list astra on 28.2?,you dont have to delete it to my knowledge, just select the correct sat to scan do you not and remember there are 2 one at 28.2 and one at 19.2,itvs and bbcs are on 28.2..
with a fixed dish if you have scanned all sats you will have loads of non working channels as dish is not aligned, there may be a way to delete all channels on that sat and i dont mean a factory reset which will wipe all info off box then you start from scratch again.

Thanks for reply but I definitely have astra 28.2 and I do not have any of the british terrestrial channels that I want (On this box I can choose channels by satellite). I am completely fine using the settings. I know how to delete and add satellites and edit the channel list I just don't have the channels I want to put top of the list.

Hi are there 4 lnb's mounted on your arm at the sat dish or is there only 1 with 4 lines out, if only 1 then it is a quad lnb. first you will need to make sure that you are deffinately pointing at the sat

i'm pretty sure your dish is not aligned to astra28.2
because if you do a scan on this sat the bbc's and itv's would pop up on your list and with the network scan nearly all would pop up tell us what channels you do have and we might be able to tell you what sattelite your dish is alligned to a fixed dish will only be able to recieve on sat at the time or two sats that are realy close together like astra 28.2 and eurobird 1 for the English fta also that us what your location is and size of dish

forgot to ask this new question, living on the continent or uk/irl?dont think sat boxes work like that putting channels in order from the scan, but you maybe able to put them in favourites or bouquets and there may be a channels editor to do this.

                    It's a [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002XWJDLU/ref=oh_o05_s00_i00_details"]quad lnb.[/ame]

Some of the channels are (A-Z)

                    A la carte 5
                    A la Demande
                    Al Jazeera Channel
                    " " English

some others BBC World + Bloomberg

I can check out more if that is required

These show as being satellite astra 28.2E and I have checked the list many times for the terrestrial channels I want.

A la Demande is on 19.2 according to the search on kingofsats,
it may be your dish has moved because if you get different names of channels while scanning 28.2 astra2.

A la carte 5 comes up as cine 5 also on 19.2

just for the record terrestrial would be through an arial like DTT. Sattelite would sattelite channels
Al the channels you mentioned are on astra 19.2
the frequencie /transponders might be the same as on some channels on 28.2 that's why your tm thinks you have signal on astra 28.2 but your on 19.2 you will have to move your dish to the right and a little bit up to get aligned with astra 28.2(looking from from where lnb is)

Thanks I'll try that and sorry I know they are not really terrestrial channels but I didn't know how to describe them without listing them.

you mean like the bbc and itvs ,at least with the names you have given you can check on kingofsats to see what sat a channel is on and do a zap search, bookmark that link for future reference as you will need it again, good luck m8.
