    techomate recording

Hi i have a techomate 5402hd and wondered if there is a way of watching a program whilst recording another, at the moment as soon as my recording is due to start the channel changes over to the one i am recording and cant watch anything else.
    thanks in advance,

you can as long as they are on the same transponder/frequency
when on the channel that's recording press ok the channellist will come up any channel in black will be on the sam transponder
so you can watch them or just move up and down this will give you the channels that are on the same tranponders too

works on 5402 with a 4gb usb stick can only presume it will work better with an hdd due to the increased write speed. Some are better than others though e.g. E4HD works better than sly thrillerHD but as i said I'm putting this down to the poor write speed of the usb stick it was about 50p. I just haven't gotten round to plugging in the hdd yet

not sure what your asking , are you trying to record a channel while it's scrambled or try to record premium channels while descrambled by a card or softcam ? the last should work fine make sure the usb device is formatted to fat32

Hi. i have recorded loads of different channels scrambled and FTA on my TM5400 SUPER. But as Thijs says you can record one channel, regardless if its scrambled or not, and watch another channel as long as they are on the same frequency. I had similar problems a while back with unable to record on USB. I just installed a different patch and everything has been ok up to now. If you are having problems with recording check what patch you have and if required update it. Also try USB 2.0 stick to see if it works. To watch scrambled channels without CAM or cards you need latest patch and keys for the channels which are currently opened.
                Reagards.
