when it says the cams are built in it means that the card reader will read cards for those encryptions and there is only one tm patch this is based on the receiver official opperating software from technomate that third party software has been added to open certain scrambled channels without the need of any cards or cams for other channels the patch does'nt
open you need to use cards or cams

Hi all, I am a dummy to satellite receivers, but I have just gotten one, technomate 5600 super CI. I have adjust my dish to receive channels, but I have not succeeded. I have Uk channels, but can't have the european ones. what should I do. there is indication that the astra satellite is on, 90%, but still cant have the european channels. I would be more than grateful when some one can help me . What should i really do. Thanks

Is your dish motorised? If it is send to 1 west and digi tv opens with latest patch/softcam. If it is fixed and facing 28.2e then you will only receive fta channels.

          thanks

thanks fearona. i have but a fix dish. with a fix dish, it means there is no way for me to have the european channels? some european channels indicate full satellite reception, but they just can,t open up; whilst other though indicating full reception, but a message displays as "NO AUDIO/VIDEO.

          The 1w is it thor?
i would appreciate any help. thanks

1 west is thor. The reason you think you ahve signal on other satellites is similiar transponder numbers. Unless you use a multi lnb etc you will only get 28.2e if thats where it is aiming.

thor is found on 0.8w while 1w is intelsat. I just went to www.dishpointer.com to see where i can point the dish to. however, thanks so much.

as far as the dish is concerned thor & intelsat are in the same position and as fearona said a motor is the best way to go then you can look all the sats available in the uk easily.
