Had a box (5402) for a month but still lost like a idiot. - Help Please

I'm a extreme noob to this

1) Softcam keys. Do I just need a USB stick?

2) Do I need a net connection for them? (I hope the answer is no)

3) Are there softcam keys for tv vlaanderen?

4) Are there softcam keys for Canal Digitaal?

5) Where can I get a Phantompatch

6) When you load a patch how do you know what channels it is allowing you to view? Is there anywhere you can find a channel list?

I will just add to what mdt has replied by adding you can also get a few more by running the vplugserver from a Laptop/PC and connected via Ethernet, said channels are on 19.2? & 13.0? east

Can someone telling me what I'm doing wrong. I followed a guide to load the patch, addon and still the channels are not opening up.

I know I'm a noob but I'm following the instructions no PLTV or NBA working?

StyleA make sure you are trying to open PLTV on the correct satellite as i know PLTV is on 2 or 3 different satellites - the 10 East PLTV channel opens fine but the others may not

are you entering the b.i.s.s keys for PLTV/NBA TV while on the channel?.. also dvb support is a website yes,regards mdt

Go onto the said channel type in '8281' finsd a non used space to enter the biss key ( i love that part of the instructions none of the 40 keys in there bloody open anything ) enter biss key in one of the slots press exit it will ask you to save and Voila! channel open

Trace tropical has finished on 9? east with biss and nova sports on 39? east is open with softcam available from the top thread

Can both cams work at the same time? I've already got the phatompatch on there but I'll do as you've recommended.

I haven't tried the BISS keys for PLTV en2 but I'm struggling to get good signal before I even try it around 10% but other channels are working on the satellite (10E) so I don't know what is going on there.

How do I know what line to write keys on? I don't want to write over another channel?

Ok first off the footprint for PLTV in the UK only requires a 70cm dish, you can enter the biss key on any line you choose as the keys in there are old and outdated so you have 40 spaces to play with once entered the 5402 will save and remeber it and yes the softcam can run alongside the biss keys at the same time
