Sound problems with HD channels on TM-6900 HD Combo

I have been using my TV's RC (Remote Control) to control volume, but am trying to use the volume adjustments on the 6900 RC.

Al is OK, until I select a HD channel, such as BBC HD, ITV HD, at which point the volume goes through the roof.

Any ideas?

If you select the audio button on the technomate remote you can set the audio level at low, medium or high for each channel.
