Technomate Softcam Adding Ch Pointless?

In theory at least adding additional up to date channel keys to technomate softcam files appears fruitless.

The limited list of channels shown in the details accompanying softcam fle updates seems to confirm limitation on channels open as it were.

can anyone explain why some channels such as r*i are possible but others not so.

if your asking about the channels on hotbird 13e
there are not many chns open now most have changed to nagra 3 and the keys or not known and tps changed encryption and moved to astra 19e and we cant open these chns most chns that are now open on the patch are the digi-tv chns on thor 1w plus some chns on sirus 4.8e and the latest tm softcam has all the latest known keys in it, but there are now many providers that have changed encryptions
and we cant open them chns D+ and tv-cabo changed to nagra 3 about two years ago and we hav'nt had there chns open since the change now premiere and polsat has changed to n3 and if or when the file guys find a fix we could see them chns again, so in short the encryption now being used are very secure and some encryptions like powerview
and n*s have never been open without a paid subscription

btw im thinking of getting a technomate HD box soon.. just wondering if you think any other boxes are worth a closer look (eg may be better) ...

just found Thor (1W) rocking....

tip for finding 1w with technomate .. dont rely on satellite strength meter.. .mine didnt register 1w satellite at all ...

instead used advanced search and put a known frequency in.. found 1w fine (use lyngsat.com for frequency/channel lists)

I had to do the same mate.Tried for 2 days trying to hit 1 west and nothing so did advanced search on BBC WORLD NEWS transponder and bingo bongo i finally hit Thor,BBC WORLD NEWS is strongest signal from that position.
