i've had a play around in the menu and when i go to sat set up 26e is named as arabsat 2cd3a so i went to 28e and just clicked moved west and seemed to hit a signal on one of the transponders but when i pressed scan it auto moved for a long time which couldnt have been on 26 east so just hit exit and the dish took a few seconds to get back to 28e if so it had been well west

i've had a further play around,at first i got signal for 1 transponder and did a search but it was 28e and i got qvc and bid tv then i moved it west got a 41% signal and managed to store the position and have scanned a few transponders so in my epg it says jsc sports on 12.034 h 27500 is this al jazeera sports 1? on the same transponder i have al jazeera english,al jazeera and aj mubasher etc.

I think that is just the old name for the BADR sats at 26E.

If you can select it then choose transponder 12.525H and use the menu arrows to move the dish until you get a strong signal then save the position before scanning the transponder and you should have KTV-1 tuned if you are on the correct satellite and able to receive it. Then scan any transponders you wish to view. (You may have to add any missing transponders, see kingofsat for details.)

is it normal for the some of the sports channels to reboot after a minute or so? it didnt happen with jsc/al jazeera channel though.

try another patch or re-flash with same one as could be a a dodgy flash. also try removing the sat feed and deleting the offending channels then re-scanning again after putting the sat feed back in,regards mdt
