cant load stb file on tm1000d

need help again..... here what is going on,
i open darkman loader, so the screen appear < to connect rs232 to pc and receiver , but when i connect nothing happen till I turn the receiver off and on again,, so it find the version installed, but wont give option to install .

any help very welcome.

are you clicking on the right tab?what file are you trying to load? check out "bosun1"s thread further down.

inthe pic click on the tab you want eg;software,channels keys or TPs. then click on "browse" to where the file is click on it and click open.then connect.

yes, i have done it before and everything was fine,, so today i got another tm1000d from a friend, and no problem, open darkman loader and one click bummm, perfect , done, so ,i connect rs232 on mine nothing.

did now a factory reset and tried a forced download ....no luck.

using darkman loader or sat4fun got the same results,,,, none of them give the option -send-

maybe i am wrong but, u guys know if its possible to brick a receiver,,, i mean make it unusable

Receiver-to-receiver data transfer via RS232, anybody know if it done the patch and softcam would transfer too?

I believe you can but I"v never managed it.try several attempts at a forced download with an official firmware file.

it find version installed ,,, and as you can see on the pics, the option is always << exit or cancel >>

just tried a softcam load on my old 1000d and loaded no prob I"V sent the sequence zipped as its a bit much. your second pic is simply telling you to connect the box and turn it on it sounds like you have a dodgy connection somewhere one of the leads or internal to the box.

tried today copy stb to stb, it copy ok , but when connect second receiver ( bad one ) it says downloading but nothing happen,,,,,rs232 cable is working fine on friends stb, I agree it could be a doggy connection on my receiver....

cannot understand why my stb show version 1.96 and my friends one show 3.06 , and yours 3.16.... I have done 2 of them together ,,,,,

open my tm1000 today , did good clean on the pcb ,,, put everything back,,,, connect ,,,, same thing...no luck.

I know is a old receiver,,, but still like it.
but I am afraid his days are almost at the end.....

yeah its time to treat yourself,but if you want to have another go at a forced download heres the latest(and probably last)patch firmware for it 316p its the version in my box.use this loader not the official one.

Got all patches, loaders and softcam supplied by dickb and applied on my friends tm1000d and all of them work perfect without any problem, got my tm followed all the steps as i di on my friends one and did not work.

So, i agree with dickb that must be a problem on the PCB , loose connection , faulty circuit or else ,because doesnt matter what i do i cant get the the magic word << send >> on any screen,, is always from EXIT to CANCEL .

So on my last attempt today ,,NOTHING TO LOOSE ANYWAY i open the box , got the PCB out and did a good wash,
put everything back together, got the same very unwanted word << EXIT to CANCEL >>

So, i am gonna bring it to a electronic shop , and see what they going to say: WE FIX IT or WE BIN IT.
