TECHNOMATE 5400 Super - help! :)

Hi Everyone,

I have a Technomate 5400 Super, 1m motorised dish. And I'm a newbie!

I've downloaded the latest patches, softcams etc but it still doesn't seem I'm getting a lot of channels. What channels should I be getting? Is there a way to get a favourite channel list on my receiver rather than scrolling through thousands of unwanted channels?

Any help would be much appreciated

the technomate patch does'nt open a lot of channels now most of the providers we were opening have now gone and the keys are not known they changed from nagra 2 to nagra 3. now they have changed encryption to nagra 3 the patch opens the most channels on thor 1w these are the digi-tv package plus the patch opens some channels on sirus 4.8e plus a few other channels on hotbird 13e and a few on astra 19e
a lot were useing a cam or a card to get some extra channels to open but that has stopped working, and we are all waiting to see what happens next as for a favorite chn list it is very easy to set up in the receiver menu and you can also move the channels in blocks to your personnel viewing choice for every satellite. or if you see a sorted channel list for your model you can download and use that.

So in regards to extra channels / more channels in the future, is it just sit back and see what happens in terms of the patches that are released or would you recommending getting more equipment / upgrading etc?

i think everyone who has the diablo cam gamma and m2 cards etc: are hoping now that canal+nordic and digialb have changed and are no longer open to us. the the file guys will open something in there place, as for patches any new channels that open usualy open on cards or cams first and then they are added to the patches, as for upgrading all receivers etc: are all in the same boat, and unless you get into cardshare that we cant talk about on the forum. then i would say dont spend untill you see which way things go. all the years iv'e been in this hobby as things go down others usualy have appeared in the past, lets hope this happens know. but it's a fact that unless you pay a subscription for the channels there is no gaurantee that what every you buy or use to get the channels open with is that
you will always get files/patches etc: to open the channels. it's you pay your money and take your chance with cards, cams, or rweceivers we program and at this time after we have had more or less everything open for a long time it has hit us hard that we have lost so much in a short time.lets hope we dont wait to long. but if and when any files are available i'm sure they will be posted here for all to test
