    Hi. Try the following:

    MENU - Pin 0000
    INSTALLATION - Pin 0000
    PID SEARCH - Enter.
Move cursor to Transponder and press green button to ADD TP.
    Enter new frequency ie 12265.
Move cursor to next line - Symbol rate and enter 29500
Move cursor to Polarization and press ok and select H.
Check details are correct and if frequency is correct you should get a signal at bottom ie LEVEL = yellow and QUALITY = blue. Now press red button to scan and channels should tune in.

    Regards.

Hi mate i think you dont undestand the way satellites work. Scanning ONE frequency does NOT change the whole satellite( you will need to do a blind scan for the whole satellite). You asked how to scan a frequency which is what i gave you. When you scan a frequency it will tune in any channels belonging to that frequency. I dont think you can scan one channel at a time....

        Regards.

channels move txp, start, leave and change vpid/apid ect all the time so its best to do a full satellite transponder scan with nit/network search enabled at least once a month to keep your lists up-to-date. regards mdt

You will just overwrite the blindscan channel list that you just saved on the box, Just a thought but have you considered using Happy Highlanders channel list for the 5402 its all favourite sorted for each package and can be found in the download section

Hi. There is no point in doing a blind scan if you are then going to re-install your current channel list back again. If you want to do a blind scan you can try the way i do them as follows:

                  a) backup your current channels to USB(in case of problems).
                  b) If you have a motorized system like i do then set motor settings to OFF to stop dish from moving .
                  c) Delete all TP's on a satellite ie FREESAT 28.2 east. This will delete good and bad TP's.

                  d) When scan completes create your own channel list in the way you want.
                  e) If motorized reset motor settings to USALS or 1.2 as you had it before.
                  f) I then go onto the next satellite and repeat process from step b.

Or as already suggested you scan a single TP for the missing channel you want.

                  Have a nice day.
