    45e freq 11591 no channels

    Hi all
I've just joined and also new to a motorised sat, I have the tm6902 with triax 88, technomate motor and a 0.1 lnb (sorry not sure which on)
Part of the reason for getting was so the missus can watch bulgarian telly and the mother in law.
However the main chanels which are fta are on 45e freq 11591 sr30000 (got that off kingofsat and lyngsat) don't come through I get a strong signal but it is sort of pulsing and of course no pics.
Have I got something set up wrong?
Would somebody mind seeing if they could get the chanels on that frequency. Many thanks, now to see what else I can get and have a look round the forum for ideas.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi Timb

and welcome to digital kaos, first off the reason why you cant lock these is because they are on a DVB-S" transponder which would require a HD receiver even if the channels are in SD and secondly they are multistream with acm/vcm encoding which is very difficult to lock on a standard receiver to get these you would need the TBS 6925 PC Satellite card which retails at ?175 and then a PC to put it in quite an expensive solution for a few channels.

Perhaps looking at other satellites with Bulgarian content that your 5200 DVB-S reciever can pick up is going to be easier and less cost effective

    Regards

      Hi Digicon
Many thanks however I'm a tad confused I have a TM6902 which is a HD receiver not a 5200 I think the receiver in it is DVB-S2. I get other HD channels no probs.
is there anyway to get multi stream on a TM6902?
      Thanks

Apologies for that a little mix up in the receiver section, But yes you are quite correct the 6902 is capable of DVB-S2 but it will not do the multi stream acm\vcm platform. the TBS 6925 card will. but expensive and thats why i sggested looking at other satellites with similar content

        Sorry for the mix up

@timb, go to download center and patch your box with 3rd party firmware making sure you use the correct and latest patch for your box and load the latest tm softcam which can be found in the tm section on here. when you have done this go to hellassat@39east and look for these channels in bulgarian as they will open via softcam. regards mdt

Many thanks mdt I shall give that a go, I shall assume that the 6900 super and 6902 super are basically the same just a difference in age? The missus will be very impressed if I can make that work. Thanks.
And also many thanks Digicon shame about that frequency being multi stream, they are available on paid for which we will probably get a card from Bulgaria. Which leads me to another question if the tm recognises the encryption will it be able to decode the relevant paid for card or is there a list somewhere saying what the multicrypt cam will read?
            Thanks

Hi sorry another question, I'm sure there will be many so hope you dont mind.
I have noticed there seem to be a couple of different patches around, magic and phantom is one better than the other or are they basically the same?
I've also read that i need something called the add_on but cant find it, do I need that as well.
              Many thanks

TM6902 Patches available here: Download center

The ADDON can be had from the same page but under 5402 section here: Download center

Dont panic it will work on the 6902, as for your previous question on the channels on 45? east these receivers dont have the required hardware to handle the acm\vcm standard even though they are listed as FTA i tried on mine had a signal no problem just would not decode video/audio, Perhaps these are downlinks for cable tv who knows

if you want a card then go for a sat-bg card which will work in the tm as its got a conax reader built in. they have a package on [email protected]. the channels i listed are in bulgarian and show bulgarian programming and epl football ect and just require a softcam update via usb stick every 2 to 4 weeks to keep running. as for which patch use the latest one by @phantom for your set top box... you wont need the addon file unless you want to use the lan part of the box, regards mdt

Cheers mdt very helpful think I will get there just slowly.
I had already found the phantom one in the download centre and added that. I'll ignore the add on as I assume that is for the cs activities which I'm not interested in.
With regards to payed for cards the main reason of going for the vivacom card is cost I can get a legit card from Bulgaria for less than a fiver where as satellite bg is a rip off at over three times that. I will add the soft key file and maybe that will be sufficient for her.
Again many thanks for quick and helpful replies its most appreciated.
                    Thanks
