Has anyone come across these boxes yet, would I be right in thinking that the phamton patch from original 5402 will not work with this model?

I may have read that the channel list files are the same for both ok but the firmware is different, can anyone confirm?

Hi. If its the M2 models you will probably need a M2 patch. I had same problem with the TM5400 M2 model.

There is a new phantom patch for the 5402 M2 from january so if you do have this model load that patch or any mew ones labelled M2 as it appears technomate have introduced a security chip into the 5402 as added protection from cloners as it seems this box is there top selling model.

As you say everything else Channel lists, Softcam remain identical to the 5402 so just a firmware change

Probably Just you :-) the extra Chip is for Security measures Only and nothing else
