technomate 5402 hd ip address problems

Hi I have a thomson router. I have managed to set the technomate box to have a static ip address, however everytime I switch the box on it doesnt recognise the static ip I have assigned, however if I go into the box ip setting and change the last digit of the ip address (for example 202 to 203) the box connects and works. Any ideas as to whats causing this (i am connnecting via homeplugs going straight into mains sockets)

Why would you want it to have a static IP in the first place but if you do then switching DHCP off in the menu of the TM and it should stay with the IP address you assigned it assuming that your router also has DHCP off for the TM

I have a similar problem in as much as the 5402 does not remember the network ip address on reboot. I have tried both static and dhcp. I have update 1.10p. Also effected is the EPG which on reboot loses the 7 day listing.
I have contacted Tehcnomate but nor reply as yet. Does anyone know if there is a battery on the motherboard that remembers the information?
