    TM5402HD Freezing

My receiver (about 18 months old) has started to crash on a regular basis. It just freezes on channel 100 - sometimes not working at all and other times just frozen on the tv channel it was on. The only way of getting round it is to disconnect from the mains - it then works fine. The problem is now becoming more and more common happening every couple of days. I have never updated the firmware since I bought it as was quite happy with it. To be honest it is only a real problem for recording when I am away - I am on holiday soon and would like to record a few things whilst away. Any advice?

Sounds very much like the PSU unit you could either try fixing it yourself locate Caps etc... and solder or Contact technomate but it wont be cheap i think its roughly around ?75 for a repair service, Just curious do you have the Fan switched on or off

Open the top casing and inspect the PSU Unit for blown or bulging caps

Sorry - I was talking about the fan! I am not competent to tell if the fan is on or of let alone check the psu unit.

Switch the receiver on and have a look at the rear to see if the Fan is running, Also make sure its switched on in the main menu
