Just how far east can you pickup?

Just looking for some help from UK based users. I've started programming the sat positions from 1W eastwards, but am now reaching the 30s and above.

I've managed to find 36, 39, 40, 42, 45 & 53E but am wondering if its worth the effort in going any further east, or if I should try to fill the holes in between?

I've been trying to use the various sat footprints maps, but am finding the names of the various beam don't always tie up, leaving scratching the head a bit.

Any thoughts would be great, thanks.

I use Google Earth when looking for satellites. You can add a waypoint for the satellite complete with altitude then draw a path to it from where you are and you get a perfect line to point the dish along from your roof.

I am in Stockport (near Manchester uk), the furthest east I have managed is 53E, going west i have managed 45W so far.

Dish size is 90cm, however at the moment am not getting anything on 53E, I think I may to take a branch or 2 off the tree

I've found that reception for 53E appears to be best for me in the evenings, with 25 out of the 29 I should be able to get present. However, being only 4 miles from the coast before dropping into the North Sea and having a 1M dish does help.

Location of the house means 1W is as far as I can go that way, which is a bit of a bum wrap
