Buy a HDD or get a new reciever???

    Hi,

i have a TM-5402 reciever, are these reliable with HDD in them or should I just get a TM-5502 with a HDD in them? This is for the parents.

    thanks

Forget the 5502 its a great receiver just support for basic channel lists lets it down, stick with the 5402HD and get a 2.5" external USB drive so the receiver can power it and away you go

I had an external hard drive for the 5402 but it was a plug in the wall job and when I played the recordings back the picture jumped every 10 seconds. Do you have any recommendations for an external that will work well with the reciever?

      Thanks
