Technomate 5402 HD using a mobile sim card

Hi everyone, not sure if this can be done but I'd like to access the internet via a mobile phone SIM card on my Technomate 5402HD receiver.
First of all can this be done?
Secondly if so is it practical?
Thirdly what equipment would I need and how do I go about it?

It would either A. have to be tethered to a wireless dongle or B. buy a 3Gsim compatible router

the last time i looked at somewhere like amazon one brand such as TPlink did a 3G compatible router for around ?20

i tried using a 3g router from tplink for connecting the lan on a stb through t-mobile and the latency was shocking so in effect useless although saying that it was a cheap ?30 for 12 months internet access. there are people who use them with some success but personally id just go with the cheapest fixed bb provider you can find. regards mdt
