5402 M2 SKY TV channel list with same channel numbers.

    Hiya chaps.

    Hoping someone can help.

I've downloaded a few channel lists and have everything. What bugs me however is the fact that i have to go into FAV to then click on entertainment etc to find BBC 1 HD etc.

My other box is a skybox F5S and i've got a pre installed list in there where the seller had installed a list which allows for example for me to press 0178 to access 178 which is the usual sky channel for ITV HD. I know some will find this pointless but having had a sky box for years i knew my fav list and also the channel numbers. I'd just like the ability to work this technomate in similar fashion. The current channel list doesnt have much wife acceptance factor as she's finding this layout annoying. Can anyone please help??

    Many thanks indeed in advance!

Yes i certainly can help for this to work you will have to make your own list Happy Highlander has a very informative Youtube video on how to do this with Clarke Tech Editor. Probably the main reason its done through the Favourite option is its a lot quicker and easier than arranging all the channels into 101,102,103 etc.. and then having to allocate a FAV section for them.

I have the Upmost respect for these Guys who do the channel lists as i do a few tweaks of mine own and so know how many hours goes into making one so to Happy Highlander,sattv5,AJ's,Cateseye,SgtFlipFlop and countless others i salute you.

You can arrange the list using Clarke tech as digicon had mentioned so that it matches the sly numbering configuration and also have your favorites. Thing is you need to always have list set to all sats so that you can type in the number for your channel. The problem with this is it makes the epg almost unusable. You could try skipping the unused channels using Clarke tech but it doesn't always work. As you have probably guessed I have considered this layout but I have always hated the sly layout and is actually one of the reasons I stopped using the original box supplied. I am more of a browser rather than a creature of habit who watches the same thing on the same channel at the same time every day. I understand that you may use tv guide magazines as you had little epg on your f5 but it is time to embrace the new found benefits of a 7 day epg
