tm5402 common problem but no solution?

Hi all, after hours of searching i am non the wiser..pls help..my tm5402 when switched on ..now only has red flashing light..no sign of life from ethernet port..tried by null modem cable but cant find box..? Is there a remedy out there as i see it as a common problem..but no 1 has given a solution?
I have tried holding power in and turning switch on..and all other suggestions but to no avail...there are no bulging capacitors ..just no life in box? please manic ..digidude or other tm geniuses out there help..

Hi. I take it that box is out of warranty as you have opened it to check the capacitors. You say that you tried with null modem cable but did not work. I was having similar problems when using TM loaders but now i use Hyper Terminal function from my computer to reinstall original firmware to boxes and works ok on many different boxes. If you want to try using Hyper Terminal just google it. Its easy to use and may restore your box back to working conditions. If you require further help let us know as i am sure you will get good advice from members.
