    Technomate TM-3150D USB PVR

    Hi,

I've recently purchased a Technomate TM-3150D USB PVR and it all seemed to work fine until I updated the firmware to version 2.00 (08 JULY 2009) from the technomate website.

When I updated the firmware the 'PROVIDER LIST' kept popping up on the screen and the usb port switched my usb drive on when the TM-3150D was in standby and switched it off when the TM-3150D came out of standby, which prevented me from recording anything, as it stated there is no usb drive attached.

I found some firmware posted in another forum dated 05-03-09, which I applied and now the usb port appears to stay on all the time even when in standby mode, which means my usb drive is always on and spinning.

Does anyone have the original firmware for the 3150D or firmware which only switches on the usb port when the stb is on and then switches the usb port off when the stb is in standby mode?

    Many Thanks

Technomate site will have the original firmware but this means you wont be able to open any channels via keys!

      Hi jackpot,

I'm not that bothered about using the keys, as I just want to use the 3150 as a pvr on astra 28.2 east.

Do you know where the original firmware is on the technomate website? The firmware I've found on the technomate website is not the original firmware, it's an updated version which doesn't operate the usb port correctly.

Basically, I just want some firmware which will power on my usb drive when the 3150 comes out of standby mode and then powers off the usb drive when it goes back into standby mode after finishing recording. There must be some firmware somewhere that does this, as my original firmware did this but I can't find it any where on the net to download.

      Thanks for your help.

If you go back on the technomate website and click on "feedback" you can let them know the problem and they usually get back to you pretty smartish.

Thanks dick b, I've filled in the feedback form on the technomate website but haven't had a reply yet.

Thanks benny/9, unfortunately as I stated previously the software on the technomate website doesn't work my usb port correctly.

Ideally, I just want to find the software that comes shipped with the technomate 3150, is it possible to extract firmware from one 3150 and then use it on another?
