Hi to all on the site, I'm new to the world of motorised sat but have some experience with fixed dishes going back to the heady days of ****og. I've come across a puzzling problem that you might help me with. The following is my setup. Technomate 6400 CI M2 super plus, TM-6400 motor, 97cm Technomate dish and single TM-1 Lnb. The motor is attached to a pole via duel lashing brackets to my chimney which is 100 percent plumb. 9.91W 51.64N, height 144mtrs from sea level. Arc 15W to 50E. Elevation 51, Angle 22.5 adjusted slightly with sat meter on 8W for strongest signal. Initially 19.2E received similar channels to S*Y but was unable to pick up 28.2E and any further east. I decided to reposition the dish about 1 foot higher on the mast and can now receive all sats from 8W to 42E, however 19.2E now only brings in continental stations. Can anyone suggest the reason.

Hi Crooha, I've probably got the wrong end of stick but,as far as I know,there are no UK s*y channels on 19.2E. So I guess you now want to know why "19.2E received similar channels to S*Y" .Not sure if I can answer that one but the most obvious answer is you we're looking at 28.2E when you thought you we're looking at 19.2E .What channels are we talking about and was there anything in the way to make you raise the dish?Cheers Mark -
Hi. The 19.2 east satellite is mainly for the Spanish, German and French speaking channels. You will also find a few english channels like Sky News, BBC World News and CNN.

Thanks both for the solution to myproblem. I feel quite foolish as on reflection I guess I had the dish pointingtoo far east during my initial setup which would have been the reason I wasunable to pick up any other Sats to the east and was indeed picking up 28.2E inerror. The reason for raising the height of the dish was to clear my frontchimney stack. Best Wishes Crooha
