    Hotbird 13 D Rai transponder 10992 is not saved by my TM-5402HD CL+ Super+

    I will appreciate your help:

My Hotbird 13 resists to accept the frequency for Rai channels 1,2,3 etc. I have entered 10.992 and though it says the transponder already exists, but when you try to open the Rai 1 it is not listed neither when you search through the frequencies list, or by name list. I have used different approaches like Blind Search, Auto Navegation, Advanced Search and it just does not take the 10992 transponder.
What am I doing wrong or what I am missing to do ?

    Please help,

    Oniro

Hi RAI is on 10992V s/r 27500 for Hotbird. Are you definetely on Hotbird.?? What channels are actually opening if any? Also what is a 5402HD CL SUPER?? If you are on Hotbird the blind scan should pick it up no problem.

    Regards.

Try the latest patch firmware.I guess 5402HD CL Super is an M1 but you need to check before loading: Download center .There have been improvements in detecting transponders.Cheers.Mark

Thanks for helping ! I am for sure on Hotbird. I checked up the frequency. All standard international channels open but Rai 1, 2 and 3. "5402.............Super+" is a very well stablished and valued box in Europe, mostly in the UK. I went already through Blind Search to no avail, on this particular issue.

Thank you so much markwi for helping !!. This is a good option to check because so far I can't understand what is happening only for RAI 1,2 and 3 transponders . The rest is working fine.

          Greetings,

Hei markwi : I went to the site you suggested to download the last patch, but I don't know how to use that nomenclature. I know the model of of my TM but I could not find the exact concordance in that list. And I am afraid to download something that hurts my box. Can you suggest some way to the right patch ? My TM model is TM-5402HD CL+ Super+

            Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi. Do you get italian channels C****e5; Italia1 and Rete4 on Hotbird. I dont think a patch will allow your box to tune in more than 1400 channels and miss 3 out. There is also Ra1-3 channels on 19.2 east. If you want to know what patch you are currently on then go into MENU - SYSTEM INFORMATION and look under s/w. Hope this helps.

              Regards.

Also under Menu-System Information is the model type.If this doesn't say M2 or M3 then you have an M1 but if you are not certain then do not upgrade.I did hear of a problem where the receiver would not let you input a transponder because it thought the transponder already existed, and was fixed in a new patch but,as Nutsandblots says, this may not be your problem
Try deleting transponders close to 10992 and try again .Or perhaps you have too many channels?Cheers Mark

Hi. Its not a MK1 as i had one about a year ago . If i remember correctly the MK1 had a few bugs in it when doing blind scans. I am still under the impression that its not Hotbird the dish is pointing at. My advice would be to delete all the TP's and then do a blind scan from scratch. If this does not find the RAI channels then its either the box or alignment issue . In my experience there is no way a scan will miss out just one transponder.

                  Regards.

I believe he has already solved this on another forum by deleting the transponder and re-adding and rescanning.

Every time I entered this forum I expressed my gratitude for your help. I have not been able to follow your advised to download a patch because I am not sure if it matches my box, but I thanked for the suggestion. Regarding to make a Blind Search advise, I had before entered here made one search like that to no avail. Yesterday I was all day deleting all the trasponders and trying each of the differente approaches, like Advanced Search, Blind Search and none of them brought me back RAI 10992 transponder. I have not betrayed you all good people trying to help others. I spread the focus of my search looking for a solution to my only mean of communication in the Finnish forest when I dont speak the language. I apologize for the bad feelings. I did not intended to hurt your good will to help.

                          All the very best,

                          Oniro

Hi Oniro there is no bad feelings at all and please dont take comments in a negative way as people here are really trying to help you. The way i see it is that you have done scans but still unable to find RAI channels. But you have not told us what channels you are getting which may help us to understand where the problem lies. As you are in Finland do you have the correct dish size for Hotbird?? As i said before your problem has nothing to do with patches but the reception of Hotbird for your setup. If you require further help please let us know.

                            Take care.

Thanks for your kind message Nutsandbolts. I just wanted to honor all the support I have received here without hurting the sensibilities of the forum members for checking somewhere else a solution for my problem. I said earlier that all channels are now on Hotbird. You name it ! BBC, NHK, DW, TVE, RTPI,CNNI, CCTV9, TV GLOBO, TV5 MONDE, TV5 FBS, all the standard international FTA trasponders.....Even there are some from RAI like RAI SPORT, GULP, HISTORY. My feeling is that when I am scanning HOTBIRD, the result is different if I choose ALL, or TV, or FREE, or NETWORK options at AUTO/NAVIGATION or BLIND SEARCH. Sometimes RAI 1,2,3 appear but they come with the log on the tv set "NO IMAGE".

                              Hope this will help.

                              Thanks again !!!
