Can TNT Sat card work with the TM-5402HD CI+Super+?

A friend in France got me a TNT Sat card (Viaccess) for 19.2 east. I popped this in the card reader slot of the TM-5402HD but the channels are still scrambled. Has anyone managed to get such card to work with the Technomate box? (In France the cards are sold with specific satellite receivers so some of the decrypting may be done inside these boxes.)

I am afraid although labelled as a CI+ receiver it is in fact not the card reader does not support CI+ on either official or patched firmware
