TM 6800 HD out of the box

I a\m about to buy a TM 6800 HD. Will it already work out of the box or does it alway need the patches I can see here?

It will work out of the box ok mate just follow the instructions book.
you only need patches from this site if you want to play around with it.
you can also update it from the official technomate site.the current software version is 688 I believe.you can also get a channel list from them.
have you got a motor?

Thanks for the info.

My setup is as follows: Humax Foxsat HDR on a fixed dish pointing at 28.2 with quad LNB and the Technomate will go on my motorised dish.

I must admit I am new do 'playing around' with receivers. Is there a 'Technomate patching for dummies' guide?
