it was already off but tried again doing the data transfer, and tried switching box off/on and its still saying scrambled channel

help please

my techomate system keeps locking up with the message initialzing USD disk... then nothing happens it just hangs there. i have switched off but no joy - normally it sees the USD memory stick

i would be extremly grateful for any advice

I sounds like your usb stick is the problem. I would suggest you put the USB stick in a pc and run 'ckkdsk' to cleanse the stick.
